Gorbachev Leaves for 3-Day India Visit

MOSCOW — Soviet President Mikhail S. Gorbachev left Thursday for India where he is expected to hold several meetings with Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi during a three-day visit, Tass said.
The meetings in New Dehli will begin today. The trip will be Gorbachev’s second to India since he assumed leadership in 1985. The talks are expected to focus on expanding trade, sharing technology and the changing relations between the United States and the Soviet Union.
