Local News in Brief : Peninsula Center Renovation Ends
A $6-million face lift has been completed at Peninsula Center at Hawthorne Boulevard and Silver Spur Road in Rolling Hills Estates.
The shopping complex, the oldest on the peninsula, was built in phases starting in 1960.
During the yearlong renovation, new landscaping and building facades were put in, the parking lot was expanded and redesigned, new lighting was installed, and 10,000 square feet of retail space was added.
