Pasadena : Appointment at Caltech

Gerry Neugebauer of Altadena has been appointed chairman of Caltech’s division of physics, mathematics and astronomy. Neugebauer, 56, is a physics professor and director of the Palomar Observatory, where a Caltech spokesman said he won international recognition as a pioneer in infrared astronomy.
