Collectors Series Turns In Top Qualifying Time

Collectors Series had the top qualifying time in Tuesday night’s trials for the $125,000 California Sires Cup Futurity at Los Alamitos Race Course.

The card spotlighted three trial divisions for the first running of the California Sires Cup Futurity, a 350-yard event for 2-year-old quarter horses on Nov. 18.

Collectors Series was making his first start since finishing second in the Far West Futurity in early September. Leading rider Kip Didericksen gained a 2-length victory in 17.63 seconds.
