No. 1 UCLA Plays Host to USC in Volleyball
The UCLA women’s volleyball team, ranked No. 1 in the country, will play host to No. 13 USC at Pauley Pavilion tonight at 7.
USC (17-9 overall and 9-4 in the Pacific 10 Conference) has struggled lately without setter Christine Brigman, who has missed the last 7 games with a strained arch. Brigman’s status for tonight is uncertain.
UCLA (23-0, 13-0) the country’s only undefeated team, has dominated the majority of its matches this season, winning 15 in straight games. USC is one of only six teams to take UCLA to 4 games before losing, and just two teams have forced the Bruins to 5 games.
This is the final of 2 matches scheduled this season between the city rivals. UCLA beat host USC last month, 5-15, 15-6, 15-7, 15-8, and leads the series, 31-23.
