WASHINGTON — Dozens of people, including prominent pediatrician and social activist Benjamin Spock, were arrested today on Capitol Hill in the culmination of a long series of protests called to focus attention on the plight of the homeless in America.
“We’re here to show the politicians that there is a crisis in America, a crisis that they are not responding to, a crisis that we want answers for,” said Mitch Snyder, a Washington advocate for the homeless and organizer of the protests.
