Work Begun on Senior Housing
Construction has begun on two senior citizen apartment complexes, one in Whittier and the other in Monrovia. The two, along with three others on which construction will begin shortly, are being financed by a $57.5-million Los Angeles County bond issue.
The first two will have 410 units and are being developed by Calmark Development of Los Angeles. Architect for the Whittier project is Womack-Humphreys of Newport Beach, and the architect for the Monrovia project is Dorius Architects of Corona del Mar.
