Rodin’s Head
I was pleased to see Suzanne Muchnic’s article on the opening of the B. Gerald Cantor Sculpture Garden at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (“LACMA Opens Sculpture Garden,” July 27).
There was one factual error in the article that should be pointed out, however. The monumental head by Auguste Rodin illustrated in the article is not “Jean d’Aire,” but instead one of his fellow burghers of Calais--Pierre de Wiessant.
