Hospital-Based Art Therapy Programs

Art That Heals values the excellent front-page coverage about our “Changing Exhibit” program (Times, June 30).

There was one error, however.

The other four hospital-based arts programs in the United States hold exhibitions--by regional artists , not specifically artists with a medical condition. Their hospitals become well-trafficked venues for promising and prominent visual artists.

Art That Heals operates five programs throughout the UCLA Medical Center and affiliated Jonsson Cancer Center: Strolling Musicians, the UCLA Art Cart, Art-as-Therapy and the Confronting Cancer Through Art Exhibition follow-up activities.
