Local News in Brief : Dana Point : Fisherman Dies After Being Pulled From Sea
A man fishing from the main jetty at the entrance to Dana Point Harbor died after he apparently slipped and fell into the sea Thursday afternoon.
The man, identified as Jong D. Park, 29, of Los Angeles, was pulled from the water by Sheriff’s Harbor Patrol deputies. He was flown to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo by a Marine Corps helicopter, where he died at 1:05 p.m. Coroner’s investigators said the apparent cause of death was drowning.
