Amgen Profits in Third Quarter Improve 158%
Amgen said its earnings increased 158% in the third quarter that ended Dec. 31, to $351,000, or 2 cents a share, as its revenue rose 37% to $13.6 million.
The Thousand Oaks biotechnology company’s revenue came largely from money it receives as part of development agreements with other corporations.
For the nine months, Amgen’s earnings rose 37% to $1.2 million, or 6 cents a share, as revenue climbed 61% to $38.8 million.
