RJR Nabisco and Biotechnica International, a genetic engineering company, announced a partnership to develop improved food products through biotechnology. The venture is designed to produce new varieties of fruits and vegetables that could be more nutritious, more disease-resistant, better flavored or have a longer shelf life.
