Gil Gerard was once very fond of “sneaking into the drive-in with whiskey and beer and drinking boilermakers,” the actor said Tuesday at the kickoff of an anti-drunken driving campaign in Little Rock, Ark. “I was the one who used to drive everybody home,” added Gerard, now in ABC’s series “Sidekicks.” “It’s amazing I didn’t kill myself or someone else.” Gerard will appear in television, radio and newspaper advertisements intended to discourage drunken driving.
