LAKE FOREST, Ill. — The Chicago Bears on Tuesday traded guard Stefan Humphries to the Denver Broncos for punter Bryan Wagner.
Wagner, who played at Cal State Northridge from 1982-84, punted three times for the Broncos in preseason games this season for a 37.3 average. He has had previous tryouts with Dallas in 1985 and St. Louis and the New York Giants in 1986.
Humphries, 25, was the Bears’ third-round draft choice in 1984. Injuries limited Humphries to 27 games in three seasons.
