HONOLULU — Searchers Wednesday recovered the body of one of two Navy men missing after a launch capsized a mile off Pearl Harbor, throwing two dozen people into the sea in darkness, a spokesman said.
The 35-foot launch capsized Monday night when a sudden swell hit it as 24 men and women were transferring from the vessel Safeguard to shore.
The other 22 victims managed to reach safety and suffered only minor injuries. The search was continuing for the other missing sailor.
