French Defense Aide Due in Beijing Today

PARIS — French Secretary of State for Defense Jacques Boyon will begin a three-day official visit to China today, the Defense Ministry said Wednesday.
An official said that sales of French military equipment might be discussed, but the Chinese Embassy here described the visit as informal and declined to comment on what subjects would be discussed or who Boyon would meet.
