Parents Join Glass in London
LONDON — American journalist Charles Glass was reunited today with his parents, Charles and Jane Glass, and his sister, Cathleen McClaskey, who flew in from Los Angeles to enlarge the family reunion with the former hostage, his wife and five children.
“I think we’re going to have a wonderful party,” the elder Glass, 66, an attorney who lives in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., told reporters at Heathrow Airport. He said he felt sorry for other captives in Lebanon and their relatives. “We’ve got our boy back, and I hope the others make it home, too,” he said. The younger Glass said he escaped his kidnapers in Beirut on Monday after 62 days in captivity.
