The newshound’s “Sons of Scarface: The New Mafia,” which aired on Monday night at 8 p.m. on Los Angeles independent station KTLA, was the highest-rated program in Los Angeles for the entire evening with a 20.7 rating and 32 share. The report--which was the highest-rated of his specials since “The Mystery of Al Capone’s Vaults,” which aired in April, 1986--also boosted KTLA’s “News at Ten” to a 10.1 rating with a 19 share, beating out the 11 p.m. newscasts on KCBS, KNBC and KABC. “Geraldo has done it again,” joked KTLA publicity manager Ed Harrison.
