Tiger Williams’ Contract Extended
Left wing Dave (Tiger) Williams of the Kings signed a one-year extension of his previous contract, the club said Friday.
Williams, the National Hockey League’s all-time leader in penalty minutes, had 16 goals, 18 assists and 358 penalty minutes in 76 games last season.
Also agreeing to new contracts were right wing Bryan Erickson, left wing Lyle Phair , defenseman Dean Kennedy and minor league goalie Glenn Healy.
The Kings also signed two rookies, center Shannon Degan and free agent Todd Hooey, and said that right wing Paul Guay, defenseman Ken Hammond and center Brian Wilks intend to play out their options and become free agents at the end of the 1987-88 season.
