Leaders Remain Same in Pre-Trials Regatta

SAN DIEGO —  Skipper Steve Gould and crewman Greg Sieck of San Francisco retained their overall lead in the Star class of the 1987 Olympic Pre-Trials Regatta despite a seventh-place finish in Wednesday’s race, the fourth of a seven-race series.

The team of Ed Adams and Tom Olsen of Newport, R.I., won the fourth race and is in second place overall in the Star class.

John Kostecki and his crew of Bob Billingham and Will Bayless increased their lead in the Soling class after winning the fourth of the seven-race series.
