A former Muslim guerrilla leader denied any involvement in the assassination of Philippine Cabinet member Jaime Ferrer, and police said they have no evidence linking him to the crime. Amelil Malaquiok, 45, a former leader of the Moro National Liberation Front, said he voluntarily went for questioning by police in the Manila suburb of Paranaque and was released without charges being filed against him.
