La Verne : University Official Named

John (Skip) Mainiero, 47, has been named vice president for administration and finance at the University of La Verne. He will replace Gordon Whitby, who will return to a post on the university board of trustees, from which he has been on leave for three years.

Mainiero has been chairman of the university’s education division since 1977. A 1962 graduate of the school, he received a doctorate from the University of Northern Colorado and has taught mathematics and science in the Bonita and Ontario-Montclair school districts.
