Twentieth Century Fox Film’s income increased to $52.7 million for the 12 months ended June 27, up from $30.4 million in the 10 months ended June 28, 1986. The 10-month accounting period resulted when the company changed the dates of its fiscal year to align with its parent, News Corp. The Los Angeles-based company credited gains in its domestic and international motion picture division, including strong results from such films as “Aliens,” “The Fly” and “Mannequin,” and gains in its television distribution division and CBS/Fox Video.
