Decom Systems, a San Marcos-based telecommunications-equipment manufacturer, reported lower net income and revenues for the third quarter ended June 27. Profit for the three-month period totaled $184,000 on revenues of $2.4 million, compared to net income of $327,000 on sales of $3.7 million over the comparable quarter a year ago.
For the nine months ended June 27, Decom Systems’ net income stood at $886,000 on revenues of $7.6 million, compared to net income of $787,000 on revenues of $9.9 million for the like period a year ago.
A spokesman said the company’s financial performance has been adversely affected by procurement delays “caused in part by (the government’s) failures to launch military communications satellites.”
