Takashi Shida has been elected a partner of the Los Angeles-based architectural firm of O’Leary Terasawa Takahashi De Chellis & Chaffin. Shida served as president of the Asian American Architects & Engineers Assn., and was chosen Asian-American Architect of the Year in 1986.

Sharon Banker has been named director of marketing for J. M. Peters Co., Newport Beach. Banker previously served as director of merchandising and advertising for Presley of Southern California. The firm’s Southland projects include New Bernardo Heights and Rancho Penasquitos in San Diego County.

Michael N. Silver, a partner in the Encino law firm of Sanger, Grayson, Givner & Booke, has been named general counsel of the 3,000-member California Escrow Assn. Silver is a member of the Los Angeles County and American Bar Assns. and the State Bar of California.

John Elizalde, a senior design architect for the Nadel Partnership Inc., West Los Angeles, has been named a partner in the firm. Among the projects Elizalde has designed for the firm are the Wilshire Landmark II, Torrance Business Park, Pasadena Financial Center and the Harborgate GTE/Sprint Building.
