The Region : L.A. Deputies Kill Pit Bull After Attack
A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a pit bull terrier that had chased some children and attacked a man and his dog who had come to their rescue. When the deputies arrived Friday they found Moses Moreno, 53, trying to choke the pit bull, which had repeatedly bitten his dog after chasing a group of children onto the top of a car in a Lennox neighborhood. When the pit bull spotted deputies Tim Kain and Don Boucher it lunged for them, but was shot and killed. The owner of the dog is still being sought. In an earlier incident Friday, El Monte animal-control officer Alice Robbins was bitten by two pit bulls when she res1886350948treated for bites to her right leg and released from Foothill Industrial Medical Center.
