The Region : Three Homes Damaged by Fireworks
Fireworks caused major damage to at least three homes in Orange County over the holiday weekend, the Orange County Fire Department reported. The fires were in Tustin, where an unknown-type firework landed on a roof at 1361 Mauna Loa Road, causing about $100,000 damage, and in Mission Viejo, where a Piccolo Pete whistling firework caused an estimated $93,000 damage to one home at 23731 Via Calzada and about $3,000 in damage to a neighboring house at 23701 Via Calzada.
