Fremont, Calif.-based Optical Specialties Inc. announced that Kenneth A. Snow has resigned as chairman, president and CEO. Steven A. Hess, senior vice president and chief financial officer, will serve as acting president of the firm, which makes wafer-inspection systems for semiconductor manufacturers. OSI also appointed Lawrence W. Bill, vice president of R&D; Funding Corp., to its board.
