Boyd’s 8th No-Hitter Advances Woodbridge
Tiffany Boyd pitched a no-hitter, her eighth this season, to lead Woodbridge to a 2-0 victory over Canyon Country Canyon. Boyd (15-6) had 17 strikeouts but walked two batters.
Susan Spring tripled in the first and scored on an error on a ball hit by Boyd. Boyd went to second on the first error and scored on another error on a ball hit by Shannon Patton. Lisa Wehren had a two-out triple in the fifth for Woodbridge (18-6) which had two hits.
The Warriors play La Serna in one semifinal Tuesday.
