Bowman, Leuzinger Coach, Dies at 41

Dennis Bowman, baseball coach at Lawndale Leuzinger High School, died of an apparent heart attack Thursday while playing golf in Long Beach. He was 41.

Under Bowman, Leuzinger reached the Southern Section 2-A final in 1980, losing to Santa Fe of Santa Fe Springs. His 1987 team finished third in the Pioneer League and lost in the first round of the 3-A playoffs to Placentia Valencia.
