Don Nelson to Become Part Owner of Warriors
Don Nelson, who resigned as coach of the Milwaukee Bucks Wednesday over differences with the team’s owner, is buying an ownership interest in the Golden State Warriors, the Warriors announced Friday in Oakland.
The decision ends speculation that Nelson would replace Dick Motta, who resigned earlier this month, as coach of the Dallas Mavericks. Nelson quit as coach of the Bucks after feuding with Milwaukee owner Herb Kohl.
