Angels Lose Their Seventh in a Row
TORONTO — Dave Stieb scattered seven hits over seven innings, and Lloyd Moseby went 3 for 4 with one RBI Friday night to lead the Toronto Blue Jays to a 3-1 victory over the Angels, extending California’s losing streak to seven games.
Stieb (3-3) allowed a home run to Ruppert Jones on the first pitch of the game, but the right-hander settled down and blanked the Angels for the remainder of his seven-inning stint. He struck out four and walked one.
Tom Henke worked the final 1 innings for his eighth save.
Don Sutton (2-5) suffered his 244th career loss in going the distance for the first time this season.
