San Clemente : Youth Wins Art Contest in Congressional District
A 15-year-old San Clemente High School student has won first place in a 43rd Congressional District art contest sponsored by the U.S. House of Representatives.
Nick Lessick took top honors in the district represented by Rep. Ron Packard (R-Carlsbad) with a painting titled “American Eagle.” The painting will be displayed in a corridor of the U.S. Capitol along with winners from other congressional districts.
Akiko Kato of Vista High School took second place, and Jake Lawrence of Dana Hills High School in Dana Point took third.
