San Diego Roundup : SDSU and Chargers to Honor Ex-Coach Coryell With Dinner
More than 200 former San Diego State University and San Diego Charger players will pay tribute to their former coach, Don Coryell, in a benefit dinner June 5 at San Diego State’s Scripps Cottage.
Proceeds from the $50-a-plate dinner will go toward a Coryell football scholarship at SDSU.

Arthur Ashe, a former Wimbledon and Davis Cup tennis champion, will conduct two free tennis clinics Thursday at the Rancho Bernardo Inn’s Tennis College.
Ashe, the chairman of the U.S. Davis Cup Team Committee, will hold a clinic for players age 18 and under at 3:30 p.m. At 5:30 p.m. there will be a clinic for adults.

The seventh annual Hall of Champions golf tournament will be held Monday at the San Diego Country Club.
Entry fee is $150, with proceeds going to the Hall of Champions sports museum. For more information, call 234-2544.
