Wedtech Corp. gave a lawyer representing Atty. Gen. Edwin Meese III more than $100,000 after the attorney told the company he was working for Meese without pay, it was reported. E. Robert Wallach of San Francisco received the money as he was representing Meese during his confirmation hearings for attorney general, the New York Times said. The paper said recent accounts are the first suggestion that Meese was connected to Wedtech’s payments to Wallach.
