The African National Congress took responsibility for two car bombs that killed four white policemen last week outside a courthouse in Johannesburg, South Africa. A statement issued by the outlawed rebel group’s headquarters in Lusaka, Zambia, pledged to continue “to deliver blows against the enemy.” The ANC, which is fighting South Africa’s apartheid system, last week had said it did not know who was responsible for the Johannesburg bombings.
