The chairman of the Commodities Futures Trading Commission, Susan Phillips, will resign her post to become vice president for finance at the University of Iowa, the commission announced.
CFTC officials said that no policy dispute was involved and that her resignation takes effect July 24.
Phillips has held the post for 5 1/2 years, and before that she was associate vice president for finance at the University of Iowa.
