Ade Sponberg, who headed the North Dakota State athletic program for 14 years, was named to succeed Elroy Hirsch as University of Wisconsin athletic director. The selection will reunite Sponberg with Don Morton, Wisconsin’s new football coach, who coached at North Dakota State before leaving to coach at Tulsa the last two seasons.
