Several Dozen Protesters Arrested at Seabrook Plant

SEABROOK, N.H. — About 300 demonstrators built mock emergency shelters and carted fake corpses to the gates of the Seabrook nuclear power plant Saturday, ending a week of protests against the project. Several dozen people were arrested, police said.
The demonstrators said the protest was aimed at showing the futility of federally required evacuation plans for the unlicensed plant. A Seabrook spokesman said plant operations were not affected.
