The Cat on the Telephone Pole

I am writing with a sense of disgust over the story that was published in The Times on April 13. I am a student at Adelphi Business College, and last Monday my instructor brought in a copy of The Times.

When I saw the picture of the poor helpless cat stranded on top of the telephone pole I couldn’t believe my eyes: This poor defenseless living creature left to die!

Who could allow such a beautiful animal to suffer like that? Here in Southern California we have so many resources to help, yet nothing was being done. I am ashamed for my community when I see such a happening.
