UTOO
I like U2.
As a matter of fact, they are easily one of my favorite bands. However, I must object to Robert Hilburn’s unprecedented three straight weeks of coverage.
Hilburn’s favoritism has reached comical proportions, with the April 12 issue taking the cake (“U2--The Pride of Dublin”). I found myself half-jokingly wondering what else he could possibly say in praise of U2, as I awoke that morning. This time, I didn’t even have to open the paper, as our “reporter at large” was given the cover story.
Dateline: Dublin--U2 finds its homeland a shelter from the corruption of stardom. All the more ironic for Hilburn to print such a statement, as what he is doing to that band is nothing short of exploitation.
