AND NOW HERE’S THE NEWS: There’s a new Duran Duran album, “Notorious,” coming next month--and a new line-up for the band too. While nothing’s official yet, look for an announcement soon that ex-Missing Persons guitarist Warren Cuccurullo (who’s on most of the tracks from the new album) will replace Andy Taylor, who’s already announced he’s pursuing a solo career. The band also is expected to sign up Steve Ferrone (from the Average White Band) as its new drummer. Co-produced by Nile Rodgers, the new album is due out Nov. 14, and features such songs as “American Science,” “Skin Trade” and “Vertigo (Do the Demolition).” . . . What does Dwight Gooden do when he’s not pitching? Try rapping. The Mets star even makes a guest appearance on “Dr. K.,” a new rap single by the New York-based group, MCL Rap Machine. . . . The Fat Boys have just finished filming a featured role in “Disorderlies,” a new Warner Bros. film co-starring Ralph Bellamy and Tony Geary which is due out next summer. . . . Congratulations to Christine McVie, who married Portuguese musician Eduardo (Eddie) Quintela De Mendonca last week in London. The couple’s honeymoon is not expected to cause any further delays in the leisurely Fleetwood Mac recording schedule. The band is now scheduled to release its new album after the first of the year. . . . And Jennifer Warnes’ new album is titled “Famous Blue Raincoats,” not “Jenny Sings Lenny,” as reported here last week. Due out this week on Cypress Records, it features three never-before-released Leonard Cohen songs, including “Ain’t No Cure For Love” and “First We Take Manhattan.”
