Neil Diamond Adds Four More Nights

Neil Diamond has added four more nights to his Greek Theatre engagement after all 61,000 tickets for a 10-night stand, beginning Aug. 14, sold out in four hours Monday, a Greek Theatre spokeswoman said Tuesday.

The new shows will be Aug. 25 to Aug. 28. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday at the Greek box office and selected Ticketron outlets.

The $1.64 million gross for the initial 10-day engagement more than doubled Barry Manilow’s former box-office record at the outdoor facility. Manilow sold $633,682 in seats for four shows last year at the Greek.
