To protect its reputation and credibility, Calendar should remove the play “Bleacher Bums” from its recommended list (Critics’ Choices; see listing under Smaller theaters, Page 48.
Watching this play was probably the worst theater experience I have ever encountered. The play was boring, in bad taste and insulting to the audience. It was far from “sunny.”
Needless to say, my group and I could not leave the theater fast enough at the seventh-inning stretch. There must have been many changes to this production over the years!
