Lodges in England
Can’t believe no one has recommended Wolsey Lodges in England. Their brochure is available from the British Tourist Authority. We came across them last fall when, following a tip in Jerry Hulse’s Reader Recommendations, we stayed at Downhayes Farm near Exeter, a superb farm in Devon overlooking Dartmoor and a great base for the west country. We also had a great experience with Heart of England Cottages (information from the BTA). Lastly, Derek and Audrey Robson-Smith in Capthorne were wonderful, all that many in your articles have stated. So helpful. Convenient to Gatwick Airport.
