Eight basketball players involved in a fight during a Jan. 15 game between Florida and Georgia were reprimanded by Southeastern Conference Commissioner H. Boyd McWhorter, who warned that any flagrant fouling or gross unsportsmanlike conduct during the remainder of the season could result in suspensions for the players involved.

Players reprimanded were Jon Currington, Vernon Maxwell, Kenny McClary and Andrew Moten of Florida, and David Dunn, Patrick Hamilton, Horace McMillan and Joe Ward of Georgia.
