Have a Slice of Decadence : Fudge Brownie Pie Fills the Bill

Pure decadence is probably the best way to describe Fudge Brownie Pie. The rich brownie batter is baked in a pie pan, then cut into wedges and topped with a favorite flavor of ice cream and Hot Fudge Sauce.

FUDGE BROWNIE PIE

2 eggs

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted

1/2 cup flour

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup chopped nuts

Ice cream

Hot Fudge Sauce

Beat eggs in small mixer bowl. Blend in sugar and melted butter. Combine flour, cocoa and salt. Add to butter mixture.

Stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour into lightly greased 8-inch pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees 25 to 30 minutes. Cool.

Cut into wedges. Serve each wedge topped with scoop of ice cream and drizzled with Hot Fudge Sauce. Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Hot Fudge Sauce

1/2 cup cocoa powder

3/4 cup sugar

2/3 cup evaporated milk

1/3 cup light corn syrup

1/3 cup butter or margarine

1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine cocoa and sugar in saucepan. Blend in evaporated milk and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Boil and stir 1 minute.

Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Serve warm. Makes about 2 cups.
