Justice Department won’t enter Texaco’s case.
The Justice Department said it will stay out of the legal dispute involving Texaco and Pennzoil but did not elaborate on the reasons for its decision, which was not unexpected. The decision follows discussions between the Justice Department held at the request of both oil companies, department spokesman Terry Eastland said in a one-sentence statement.
