Barry Bingham Jr. said in Louisville, Ky., that he has patched up differences with his father and will remain as editor and publisher of the Courier-Journal and the Louisville Times until the newspapers and two other family companies are sold. Bingham, who offered his resignation after his father announced the sale of the family’s media empire on Jan. 9, also said he would continue as vice chairman of WHAS Inc., which owns a television station and two radio stations, and Standard Gravure Corp., which prints Sunday newspaper magazines.
