N. Korea Halts Talks With South

TOKYO — North Korea said today that it will suspend talks with South Korea to protest next month’s joint military maneuvers by the United States and South Korea.
The two Koreas were to have held economic talks this week in the truce village of Panmunjom, preliminary inter-government talks in mid-February and Red Cross-sponsored talks at the end of next month.
